Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peixoto avoids the body shot from De Ertu.
Peixoto throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
De Ertu shoots in for a takedown but Peixoto shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Enzo Peixoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A leg kick checked by De Ertu.
Peixoto fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
De Ertu rushes Peixoto and presses him up against the ropes.
De Ertu drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Peixoto gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Peixoto can't break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Peixoto wants to break the clinch but can't.
De Ertu has Peixoto pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Peixoto manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christian De Ertu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Peixoto gets underhooks to prevent De Ertu's takedown attempt.
Peixoto fails to pull guard.
De Ertu stalling against the ropes.
De Ertu gets a trip takedown into half guard.

De Ertu is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Peixoto doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time De Ertu.
De Ertu is working for a kimura but Peixoto is defending it quite comfortably.
De Ertu wants to pass to mount but Peixoto is defending the position.

De Ertu is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Peixoto won't allow De Ertu to pass to mount.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
De Ertu trying to control from half guard but Peixoto is working away.
De Ertu passes to side control.
De Ertu has hold of Peixoto 's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Peixoto seems comfortable defending it but De Ertu has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Peixoto is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Peixoto is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but De Ertu couldn't care less - he's delighted!
