Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zapp Brannigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cro Copout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brannigan comes to the cage accompanied by Jackyl -- The Lumberjack. The crowd seem to be enjoying Copout's choice of entrance music: you throw knee, i go home. Cro Copout has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zapp Brannigan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cro Copout!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brannigan throws a series of punches but Copout moves out of range.
Brannigan throws an overhand right that lands on Copout's shoulder, as Copout tries to avoid the shot.
Brannigan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Copout circles away quickly and effectively.
Brannigan throws a head kick that misses
and Copout counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Brannigan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Copout's waist but Copout gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brannigan off to one side.
Copout scores with a leg kick.
Copout misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Copout throws an overhand right that lands on Brannigan's shoulder, as Brannigan tries to avoid the shot.
Brannigan scores with the left hand. Copout knows he should have avoided that one.
Zapp Brannigan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brannigan throws a sloppy head kick and Copout moves out of range easily.

Copout bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Brannigan struggling a bit here.
Copout is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Let's hope that Copout has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Brannigan wants to control but Copout postures up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Zapp Brannigan.
Brannigan misses with a combination
and Copout counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A left lands for Copout.
Brannigan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Copout paws at him with a jab and circles away.
No joy there for Brannigan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brannigan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nice sprawl there from Brannigan as Copout shoots in.
Brannigan misses with a series of wild punches.
Copout throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Brannigan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Copout misses with a hook. Brannigan ducked under it nicely.
Brannigan throws a sloppy head kick and Copout moves out of range easily.
Brannigan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Copout waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Brannigan.
Brannigan closes the distance looking to clinch
and Copout counters with a straight right hand.
Copout is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Brannigan tries a head kick but it misses.
Brannigan takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Brannigan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nice uppercut there from Brannigan.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brannigan is defended easily by Copout.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zapp Brannigan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Copout thows a body shot but no joy.
Brannigan moves out of range as Copout strikes.
Copout slips a jab and a cross from Brannigan.
Brannigan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Copout avoids it really well and circles away.
Copout misses the jab.
Brannigan fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Some wild striking there from Copout.
Brannigan walks forward, straight into a front kick from Copout.
Brannigan is breathing heavily.
Copout slips under a jab from Brannigan.
Copout avoids the head kick by Brannigan.
Copout lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Copout looks to throw the jab but Brannigan is out of range.
Copout throws a front kick aimed at Brannigan's knee but Brannigan avoids it well.
Brannigan staying out of range there.
Brannigan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Copout throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Brannigan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Copout connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Brannigan momentarily.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Brannigan. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Brannigan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Copout sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Brannigan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Copout tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brannigan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Copout misses with a looping right.
Copout jabs Brannigan right on the nose. Brannigan blinks but takes it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cro Copout dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


The fighters circling - Copout throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Copout has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Copout there as he acknowledges the shot.
Brannigan tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Copout counters with a stiff right hand.
Copout fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Copout. Brannigan shrugs it off though.
Cro Copout seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Copout thows a body shot but no joy.
Brannigan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Copout sprawls well. Copout wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brannigan gets slowly back to his feet.

Brannigan gets a takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Copout manages to get to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Copout seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Cro Copout wasn't active enough on the ground.
Brannigan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Copout closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brannigan to the mat! Brannigan manages to get full guard.
Copout trying to control the position from guard on top but Brannigan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Copout showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Cro Copout wasn't active enough on the ground.
Copout scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Brannigan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Copout.
Brannigan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Copout gets tackled into the cage by Brannigan. Brannigan maintains the clinch.
Brannigan scores with a hook to the body.
Copout throws an elbow but it misses.
Copout is trying to force a seperation but Brannigan has the dominant position.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Brannigan misses with a punch on the inside.
The referee calls for Copout to work.
Brannigan lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Copout or not.
Brannigan missing with knees to the body.
Brannigan is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Brannigan prevents a takedown attempt there.

Brannigan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Brannigan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Copout tries to avoid it but Brannigan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Copout to the ground. Copout escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Brannigan throws a combination. Copout tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


It looks like Cro Copout has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A nice inside leg kick there by Copout. That's going to slow Brannigan down.
Some wild striking there from Brannigan.
Brannigan fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zapp Brannigan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Brannigan throws a lazy head kick
and Copout counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Brannigan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Copout counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Copout closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brannigan circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Cro Copout will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

and Copout counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Copout shoots in for a double leg but Brannigan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Copout cracks Brannigan with a right hand to the side of the head.
Copout takes a head kick and keeps coming.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Copout throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Brannigan was covering up waiting for the punch and Copout finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Brannigan uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Brannigan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Copout makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Copout taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Copout receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
Brannigan lands a right hand.
Brannigan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Copout has him pressed against the cage.
Copout misses with a punch to the body.
Copout misses with a hook from the clinch.
Brannigan wants to take the fight to the mat but Copout manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Copout drops Brannigan onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Brannigan is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!


Brannigan is rocked!

This has been an exciting period of action!
A right handed body shot lands from Copout.
Oh Brannigan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Copout breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Brannigan gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Copout gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cro Copout!
Cro Copout seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
