Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ultra Steve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nil Sorsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 14 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ultra Steve!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nil Sorsky!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorsky avoids a punch combination nicely.
Steve fails to land with a series of punches.
Sorsky doesn't manage to clinch there - Steve circles away.
Steve throws out a loose jab but Sorsky uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sorsky is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Steve throws a left and a right that both miss

and Sorsky counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sorsky tightens his grip and picks Steve up, before dumping him to the ground. Steve manages to land in guard.
Steve is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sorsky is standing up over Steve. Steve looks to escape but Sorsky dives into side control.
Steve is letting Sorsky control him for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Steve is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Sorsky controlling the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Steve is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sorsky asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nil Sorsky was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Sorsky tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Steve manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sorsky moves away from the strike by Steve.
Sorsky slips under a jab.
Sorsky ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sorsky slips under a jab from Steve.
Steve throws a big shot that misses.
Steve looks to land a combination but Sorsky avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Nil Sorsky will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Sorsky uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Steve.
Steve circles away from the clinch attempt.

Sorsky has Steve up against the cage in a clinch.
Steve can't break the clinch.
Sorsky gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Steve.

Sorsky is trying to trip Steve. He has hold of a leg but Steve is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Sorsky persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sorsky prevents Steve from getting back to his feet.
Sorsky is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Sorsky moves into the clinch successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Steve tries to break free but Sorsky pushes him back against the cage.

Sorsky has Steve pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sorsky pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Steve tumbling to the mat - Sorsky dives into Steve's guard.
Steve is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Sorsky controls from within his opponent's guard.
Steve will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Steve wants to get back to his feet but Sorsky passes into half guard.
Steve pushes Sorsky off looking to stand but Sorsky dives back in and keeps control.
Sorsky looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ultra Steve.
Sorsky is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Steve rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Sorsky counters by clinching up.

Sorsky gets a trip takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nil Sorsky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Steve avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Steve circles away from the clinch attempt.
Steve throws an off balance right hand

and Sorsky counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sorsky.
Sorsky has Steve pressed against the cage, preventing Steve from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Sorsky has hold of one of Steve's legs. Steve is fighting the takedown attempt but Sorsky gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Nil Sorsky has got the better of the ground game so far.
Sorsky won't allow Steve to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Sorsky slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Ultra Steve wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Steve pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sorsky ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Steve fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sorsky manages to avoid it.
Steve waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sorsky.
Steve misses with an uppercut

and Sorsky moves into the clinch.

Sorsky lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sorsky prevents Steve from standing back up.

Steve has one foot on Sorsky's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Steve really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Steve swings widly with a right hand

and Sorsky holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Sorsky has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Steve is trying to keep an underhook but Sorsky manages to get the takedown into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sorsky slows the pace down in half guard.
Sorsky stops Steve from getting back to his feet.
Steve is trying to escape back to his feet but Sorsky uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Steve tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nil Sorsky comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Sorsky winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
