PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brah At Hammed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Bullit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bullit comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Enter Sandman kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brah At Hammed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Damien Bullit!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bullit tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Bullit has closed the distance and engaged At Hammed in a clinch.
At Hammed throws a knee to the head but misses.
At Hammed misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Bullit.
At Hammed looking to throw knees to the head but Bullit is blocking nicely.
At Hammed lands a knee to the head.


It looks like Damien Bullit has been cut.
Bullit managing to block the knees to the body from At Hammed.

At Hammed tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
At Hammed tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Bullit taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Bullit manages to pull guard.
Bullit is adopting a defensive guard.
At Hammed wants to pass the guard but Bullit is keeping the position.

At Hammed trying to control but Bullit is working from the bottom.
Bullit throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
At Hammed tries to free his leg and advance position but Bullit is retaining full guard.

Bullit is looking for a triangle but At Hammed pushes his legs off easily.
Bullit looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
At Hammed being controlled here momentarily.
At Hammed trying to control the position from guard on top but Bullit is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

At Hammed sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bullit's guard.

At Hammed is trying to work for a kimura but Bullit is defending well.
Bullit is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with At Hammed in particular looking to stall.
At Hammed wants to advance to full mount but Bullit doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Bullit looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bullit looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bullit keeping moving, preventing At Hammed from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Brah At Hammed wasn't doing enough on the ground.

At Hammed tries to keep at a distance but Bullit has taken the fight into the clinch.

At Hammed scores a nice knee to the body.
At Hammed looking to throw knees to the head but Bullit is blocking nicely.
At Hammed misses with a knee to the head.

At Hammed tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Bullit avoids it.

Bullit drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bullit is looking for a triangle but At Hammed pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Brah At Hammed will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Damien Bullit's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



At Hammed shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bullit manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Bullit pulls At Hammed in to control the position.
Bullit trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Bullit throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Bullit trying to keep a closed guard but At Hammed is proving a slippery customer.

Bullit pushes a forearm under At Hammed's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, At Hammed is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Damien Bullit!
