Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kustaa Pohjanala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Rubio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pohjanala comes into the arena with AC/DC - Hard as a Rock blaring out of the sound system. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pohjanala just misses with a punch to the body.
Pohjanala throws a shot from downtown. Rubio moves away and avoids it.

Pohjanala forces Rubio back against the cage and clinches.
Rubio scores with a knee to the head.
Pohjanala wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Pohjanala is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Pohjanala fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Pohjanala tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Rubio lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Rubio tries to land knees in the clinch but Pohjanala avoids the damage to the body.
Pohjanala jumps guard but Rubio stands there with Pohjanala around his waist. Pohjanala gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Rubio throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Pohjanala on the side of the head.

Rubio closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Rubio lands an elbow just above Pohjanala 's eye.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rubio creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Still in the clinch, Rubio scores with a nice short uppercut.

Rubio swings wildly with an uppercut but Pohjanala uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rubio lands a shot to the body.
Rubio lands a right hand that snaps the head of Pohjanala backwards.
Pohjanala wants to get back to striking at distance but Rubio won't allow it.

Rubio escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
No joy there for Rubio, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rubio tries to clinch up but Pohjanala circles away and keeps his distance.
Rubio throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pohjanala's waist but Pohjanala gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rubio off to one side.
Pohjanala lands a nice hook to Rubio's body. Rubio takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Pohjanala drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Pohjanala goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Rubio rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Pohjanala's guard! Nice work there by Rubio!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pohjanala is trying to control the position but Rubio postures up.
Pohjanala has control of Rubio's left arm, preventing Rubio from doing any damage.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Rubio got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pohjanala has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rubio has managed to get both his arms back between Pohjanala's legs - danger averted.
