Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rob Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robb Spewak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kelly comes to the cage accompanied by R Kelly - Real talk. Spewak is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The German National Anthem. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rob Kelly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Robb Spewak!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spewak gets caught napping as Kelly dives in and scores a takedown. Spewak manages to retain guard.
Kelly seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kelly wants to control from the top but Spewak keeps moving.

Spewak had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kelly defends it easily.
Kelly passes Spewak's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Kelly is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Spewak works his way to full guard. Good work.
Kelly throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Spewak works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kelly advances to half guard.

Kelly throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Kelly has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kelly throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Kelly seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Kelly wants to control but Spewak is keeping him busy.
Spewak has hold of Kelly's hands but Kelly slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Spewak wants to improve his position but Kelly is controlling well.
Kelly not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Spewak pushes Kelly off looking to stand but Kelly dives back in and keeps control.
Kelly sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Spewak defending well though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kelly not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Kelly landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Kelly is looking to take a break and control but Spewak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kelly winds up and cracks Spewak with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Spewak has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Kelly escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Kelly!
Kelly happy to just control the position for now.
Kelly works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Kelly has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Kelly with a couple of short strikes.

Kelly landing strikes from the mount and Spewak is in trouble!
Kelly pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Spewak is rocked!
Kelly postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Spewak in real trouble here! The ref calls for Spewak to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rob Kelly!
Rob Kelly decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
