Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jock Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swanson has chosen College feat. Electric Youth - A Real Hero as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jock Stark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ron Swanson!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swanson throws a lazy uppercut

and Stark counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Swanson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Stark is controlling him.
Swanson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Swanson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stark. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Stark has gone for a leg lock! Swanson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Stark's guard.

Swanson stands and steps away. Stark gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Stark fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Nice takedown defense from Swanson. No joy for Stark on that attempt.

Swanson instigates a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Swanson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Swanson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Swanson scores with a nice right hand.

Swanson clinches up with Stark and pushes him back against the cage.
Stark can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jock Stark. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Swanson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Stark can't fight it off and eventually Swanson manages to take the fight to the floor. Stark looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Stark has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Swanson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Stark lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Swanson!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stark moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Swanson has worked his arm free - good work by Swanson!

Stark is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Swanson has escaped the position, nice work there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stark swings around for an armbar but Swanson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Stark's guard.
Swanson wants to control from the top but Stark keeps moving.

Stark working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Swanson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Stark is tightening it up a little... Swanson has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Swanson reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Swanson taps out! Nice BJJ there by Stark!

After the fight, Jock Stark was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
