Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Party Town (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Shinedown - Bully. Party Town is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a takedown attempt
and Town counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jones connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jones shoots and misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jones gets caught napping as Town dives in and scores a takedown. Jones manages to retain guard.
Town content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Town landing with the ground and pound.
Town not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Town connects with a couple of short punches.
Town lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Town trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Town trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Jones utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Town passes into half guard.
Town has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Town looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Town working Jones over with strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jones is trying to get back to full guard.
Town is taking a breather. Jones says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Town prevents Jones from improving his position.
Town winds up and cracks Jones with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Town is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Town is thwarting Jones's attempts to control the position.
Town lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Jones quite badly. Jones pulls Town in close trying to recover. Town postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Jones on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Jones doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
