The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Axelsson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Clark paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Clark is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Clark misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Axelsson.
No luck for Axelsson with that takedown attempt.

and Clark cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Clark lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Axelsson at a distance.
Clark ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Axelsson moves away.
Clark fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Axelsson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Clark stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Clark wants it to stay on the feet.
Clark tries to bum rush Axelsson with a series of wild strikes but Axelsson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Axelsson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Clark misses with a straight right.
Clark thows a body shot but no joy.
Clark swings for the body but Axelsson moves out of range.

Axelsson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Clark can do anything to dispel that myth.

Axelsson slips nicely into half guard.
Axelsson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Clark doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Axelsson.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Clark is squirming around, avoiding Axelsson's attempts to control the action.
Axelsson is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Axelsson extends the arm and Clark is forced to tap!
