Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stephan Evurts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evurts comes to the cage accompanied by Welcome to the Jungle. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Evurts looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Evurts throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Franklin counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Evurts takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Evurts showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Franklin.
Franklin throws a nice looking combination but Evurts bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Franklin circles away from the clinch attempt
and Franklin counters with a straight right hand.

Franklin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Evurts circles away.
Evurts misses with an uppercut

and Franklin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Evurts's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Chuck Franklin hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Evurts tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Franklin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Evurts scores with a punch to the head.

It looks like Chuck Franklin has been cut.
Evurts missing with a left hand there. Franklin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Franklin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Evurts throws a big shot that misses.
Evurts avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Evurts has Franklin up against the cage in a clinch.
Franklin blocking some punches.
Franklin has had enough of the clinch but Evurts keeps him there for the moment.
Evurts misses with a punch on the inside.
Evurts keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Franklin's efforts to push away.
Franklin tries to circle away but Evurts has him pinned against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Evurts looks to land a left hand but Franklin moved out of range nicely.

Franklin misses with a wild body shot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Franklin just misses with a punch to the body.

A close round but Chuck Franklin will probably get the nod.

That's time! Evurts's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Franklin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Evurts.
Evurts misses with an uppercut.

Franklin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Evurts is controlling an arm, preventing Franklin from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Franklin wants to control the pace but Evurts is squirming around nicely.
Franklin cracks Evurts with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Chuck Franklin has got the better of the ground game so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Evurts is desperately trying to improve his position but Franklin has a good base and remains in mount.
Franklin with shots to the head and body - Evurts looks very uncomfortable down there.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Franklin postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Evurts out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Franklin goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
