The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McCool drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
McCool scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hall to see if he's OK.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hall can do anything to dispel that myth.

McCool creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
McCool cracks Hall with a big right hand but Hall just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

McCool is breathing heavily.

McCool has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hall's face.

Hall tries to roll over but McCool keeps him under control.
Hall should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

McCool seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Hall wants to get back to full guard.

Hall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McCool. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

McCool fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The referee warns Hall that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
McCool lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Hall is trying to escape the mount.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McCool loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Hall scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from McCool land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. McCool stands and salutes the crowd.
