Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abel Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh Pucci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hugh Pucci is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Abel Ramirez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hugh Pucci!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pucci lands with a right hand.

It looks like Abel Ramirez has been cut.

Ramirez pushes Pucci up against the cage in a clinch.
Ramirez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Ramirez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Pucci waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Ramirez. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Ramirez to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Ramirez is rocked!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Pucci slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Pucci won't allow Ramirez to get back to his feet.
Pucci sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Pucci avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Ramirez has his foot on Pucci's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pucci works his way back into a safe position though.

Ramirez looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Pucci trying to control the position from guard on top but Ramirez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hugh Pucci has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Pucci dips to his left and cracks Ramirez with an uppercut!
Ramirez fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ramirez looks to land a right hand but Pucci moved out of range.
Ramirez gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Pucci points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Ramirez wakes up just in time to hear Pucci thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
