Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jose Garcilazo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiwi Bird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garcilazo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Garcilazo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bird for as long as he can get away with.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Garcilazo connects with a nice short shot to Bird's temple.

Garcilazo wants to pass to mount but Bird is defending the position.

Garcilazo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Garcilazo uses his free foot to push down on Bird's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bird.
Garcilazo lands a big shot there that rocks Bird but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Garcilazo loads up with a big shot that hurts Bird! He's pulled Garcilazo in close but Garcilazo has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Bird survive? More strikes from Garcilazo and Bird is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
