Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michal Silva!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a shot to the body.
Snow shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Silva counters with a one-two to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Snow.

Silva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Silva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Snow sprawls well initially but Silva persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Snow keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva wants to stand up but Snow is controlling the position.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Snow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Snow is trying to stand.
Snow wants to get back to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva content to control rather than advance.
Snow won't allow Silva to pass to mount.
Snow trying to hold on to Silva's head to control him but Silva postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Snow shoots in for a double leg but Silva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Snow. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Snow will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Silva throws a right hand that Snow ducks under and follows up with a left that Snow also avoids with ease.
Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Silva is trying hard to land a takedown here. Snow sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Snow darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Snow throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Snow is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Snow is controlling the pace.
Silva is trying to control but can't.

Snow tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Snow is trying to control. Silva wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Snow decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Snow fails with an attempt to clinch.

and Silva counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Silva.

Snow gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Silva regains guard.

Snow stays in close to Silva's body and controls the position.
Silva tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Silva working for a triangle but Snow defends it easily.
Snow is looking to stand up but Silva won't let him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Snow dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Snow shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Snow tries to pass to full mount but Silva defends it.
Silva is trying to get back to full guard.
Jon Snow overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Snow is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Silva sees it coming and defends easily.

Snow is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Snow is working away from the top position though.
Silva is looking for a sweep. Snow is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Snow scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Still in half guard, Snow seems content to control.
Snow is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Snow swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Silva is now in Snow's guard. A big mistake from Snow there, giving up the dominant position!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva is posturing up here but Snow has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Silva tries to roll out but it's too tight and Silva has to tap! Slick submission there by Snow!
