The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Fedor Mirinova and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov takes a swing at Xande's ribcage but misses.
Petrov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Xande counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Petrov's guard now.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Xande thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Petrov is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Petrov lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Xande!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Petrov has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Xande celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
