PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ray Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shannon Khoury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gunn comes into the arena with England belongs to me blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn throws a head kick that misses.

Khoury takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Khoury throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Gunn looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Khoury!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Gunn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Gunn fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Gunn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Gunn has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Khoury's face.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Khoury is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Khoury takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Gunn's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
