Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Luan Lieu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Hendi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kim Hendi will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Luan Lieu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kim Hendi!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lieu gets tackled into the cage by Hendi. Hendi maintains the clinch.
The referee calls for Hendi to work.
Hendi goes for a takedown attempt but Lieu pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Hendi moves into the clinch.
Hendi wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Lieu tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Hendi jumps into guard, dragging Lieu to the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hendi is on top in guard.

Hendi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lieu swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hendi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hendi's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Let's hope that Hendi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Lieu wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hendi manages to pass to side control.

Lieu looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hendi throwing shots but Lieu is blocking nicely.
Lieu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hendi on the ground.

Hendi has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Lieu really wants to buck Hendi off and get back to his feet.

Hendi has control of Lieu's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lieu regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Hendi throwing strikes here but Lieu is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Hendi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Lieu might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Lieu is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Hendi.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lieu fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hendi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Lieu tries to land a knee to the head but Hendi blocks with his arms.

Hendi tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Hendi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lieu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hendi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lieu manages to get himself to full guard.

Kim Hendi is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I would just about give that final round to Kim Hendi.
