Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cristiano Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ness Webster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halo comes to the cage accompanied by Champ.. Webster is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Cinderella Man. Ness Webster has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cristiano Halo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ness Webster!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Webster lands a jab.
Webster fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Halo manages to avoid it.
Halo tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Webster counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ness Webster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Halo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Webster tries to avoid it but Halo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Webster to the ground. Webster escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A jab lands there for Webster.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Halo dives in and grabs Webster's left leg, looking for a takedown. Webster pushes down on Halo's head and hops out.
Halo ducks right into an uppercut from Webster.
Webster scores with a jab to the body.
Webster fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Halo manages to avoid it.

Webster throws a big shot that misses.

and Webster counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Halo's guard now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cristiano Halo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Webster won't allow Halo to sweep him here.
Webster stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Halo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Halo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Webster can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Webster looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Webster lands a nice short elbow.

Halo is rocked!
Webster has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Webster wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Halo, who protects the arm well.

Webster thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Halo tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Webster cracks Halo with a big right hand but Halo just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Webster has an Americana. Halo didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Webster is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Webster hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
