Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Barbosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Konrad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cole Konrad is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Konrad on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Konrad blocks a leg kick.
Barbosa connects with an inside leg kick.
Barbosa throws out a loose jab but Konrad uses good head movement to avoid it.
Barbosa throws a right and a left that both miss.
Konrad tries to bum rush Barbosa with a series of wild strikes but Barbosa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Barbosa misses with a head kick.
Barbosa misses with a low kick as Konrad jumps back.

Konrad changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Barbosa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

It looks like Daniel Barbosa has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Konrad misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Konrad has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
