The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heans tries to clinch but Boudreau moves out of range.
Heans doesn't manage to clinch there - Boudreau circles away.
Heans is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Boudreau counters with a shoot takedown. Heans fights it but they end up in guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Heans can do anything to dispel that myth.
Boudreau is standing up over Heans. Heans looks to escape but Boudreau dives into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boudreau thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
