The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vega to the mat! Vega manages to get full guard.

Jackson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vega has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackson has managed to get both his arms back between Vega's legs - danger averted.

Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vega. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Vega bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jackson's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jackson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Vega fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jackson manages to avoid it.

Vega tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jackson was well out of range. Poor timing from Vega.
