The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping body kick lands there for Jones.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Lee shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Jones feints and as Lee raises his hands in defense, Jones changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jones controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Jones stands and throws Lee's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lee is trying to escape the position but Jones is controlling the position.
Jones's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Lee tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Jones has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Lee is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Jones yanks on the arm and Lee is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Jones.
