The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holiday throws a right and a left that Morgernstern avoids nicely.
Morgernstern avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Holiday ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Morgernstern moves away.
Holiday misses with a jab, cross combination.
Morgernstern bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Holiday throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Morgernstern.
Morgernstern bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Morgernstern fails with a takedown attempt.
Holiday lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Morgernstern circles away quickly and effectively.
Manny Holiday seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Holiday closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Morgernstern quickly recovers to half guard.

Holiday tries to clinch but Morgernstern is having none of it.
Morgernstern fails to land the takedown.
Manny Holiday has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Morgernstern.

Morgernstern closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Holiday tries to roll over but Morgernstern keeps him under control.
