Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Rawson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ulf Lundell!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lundell throws a head kick but Rawson moves out of range.
Lundell throws a wild body kick that Rawson sees coming a mile off.
Lundell scores with a kick to the midsection.
Lundell connects with a solid leg kick.
Lundell throws a head kick that misses.
Lundell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rawson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lundell is fending him off so far but Rawson persists. Nope, Lundell circles away and we're back to standing.
Rawson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Rawson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lundell as he avoids it easily.
Rawson has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luke Rawson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rawson is breathing heavily.
Lundell lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Lundell throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lundell thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Rawson if he has to take too many more of those.
Rawson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lundell's waist but Lundell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rawson off to one side.
A head kick lands from Lundell that sends Rawson to the canvas. Rawson tries to scramble back to his feet but Lundell brings him back down into side control.
Rawson is rocked!
It looks like Luke Rawson has been cut.
Lundell stands up.
Oh Rawson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A head kick by Lundell - that's a beauty! Rawson is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Lundell can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ulf Lundell!
