Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Caio Cesar Caprillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Staton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caprillo comes to the cage accompanied by The Beatles - Here Comes The Sun. Staton has chosen Puff, The Magic Dragon as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caprillo blocks a head kick by Staton.

Staton fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Caprillo.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Caprillo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Staton swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Caprillo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Staton is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Caprillo, into his guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Staton content to stall in guard here.

Staton controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Caprillo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Staton is controlling him.
Caprillo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Caio Cesar Caprillo will probably get the nod.

Staton pushes Caprillo back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Staton manages to break the clinch.
Staton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Staton sends Caprillo crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Staton is motioning to the referee to let Caprillo up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
