PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mick Wlison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jj Hart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hart has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wlison misses with a few strikes there.
Hart looks gassed!

and Wlison counters with a one-two to the body.
Hart throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hart dodges the punch combination from Wlison.

Hart tries to sprawl but Wlison drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Wlison decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Wlison wants the takedown. Hart is fighting it off but Wlison persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Hart's guard against the cage.
Wlison stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hart swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Wlison decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Hart, up you get!
Wlison fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hart has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Wlison could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wlison looks to land a combination but Hart avoids it well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wlison fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hart, pushing him back against the cage.

Wlison is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hart is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Hart is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
