Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yoo Doss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Duke!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duke looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Doss looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Duke throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Doss chips away with some ground and pound.
Doss trying to control the position from guard on top but Duke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Doss trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Duke throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Duke tries to keep at a distance but Doss has taken the fight into the clinch.
Doss fails to pull guard.
Doss drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Duke gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Duke throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Doss blocks it with crossed arms.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yoo Doss. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Doss tries to pull guard but Duke won't allow it.
Duke tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Doss has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Duke clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Doss is breathing heavily.

Doss tightening his grip on Duke, looking for the choke.
Duke breaks Doss's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Duke throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Doss works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Duke tries to free his leg and advance position but Doss is retaining full guard.
Doss tries to land a sweep but no joy.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Duke tries for a takedown but Doss circles away easily

and Doss counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Doss looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Duke with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Duke wants to improve his position but Doss is controlling well.

Duke tries to kick Doss off but Doss keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Duke is looking to control Doss's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Duke avoid being mounted?
Doss slips a nice elbow through Duke's hands, connecting with Duke's forehead.
Doss looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Duke shoots for a double leg takedown but Doss sprawls well. He's pushed Duke's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Duke looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Doss is fending him off so far but Duke persists. Nope, Doss circles away and we're back to standing.
Doss avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Doss throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Duke gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Doss trying to control the position from guard on top but Duke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yoo Doss dominated that round.
That's time! Doss's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Doss counters with a single leg into guard. Duke didn't expect that.

Duke scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Duke has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Doss misses with a head kick.

Doss has closed the distance and engaged Duke in a clinch.
Duke using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Doss has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Doss breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

so Doss counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Doss working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Duke's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Duke wants to reverse the position here. Doss has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Duke is forced to tap! Duke looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.
