Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Milo Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pep Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hernandez has chosen Heart Vacnacy- the wanted as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips slips a jab and a cross from Hernandez.
Phillips uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hernandez.
Hernandez misses with a two punch combination.
Phillips ducks under a wild hook from Hernandez.
Phillips shoots in for a takedown but Hernandez shows good takedown defense.
Hernandez scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Hernandez bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Sloppy strikes from Hernandez. Those never looked like landing.
Phillips looks to land a right hand but Hernandez moved out of range.

Phillips drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Hernandez takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hernandez can't do much from the bottom here.

Hernandez sneaks out the side door and pushes Phillips away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Hernandez pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Phillips back to the cage. Hernandez follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Phillips shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Hernandez has his foot on Phillips's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Phillips works his way back into a safe position though.
Hernandez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Phillips. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Phillips pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

and Phillips counters with a takedown into side control.

Phillips tries for a kimura but Hernandez is defending well.

Phillips has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Hernandez is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Phillips yanks on the arm and Hernandez is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Phillips.
