Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
E closes the distance and clinches up with Adams, looking for a takedown. E pushes Adams against the cage but Adams circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Adams connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
E tries to clinch but Adams is having none of it.
The fight stays on the outside here - E looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
E tries to clinch up but Adams circles away and keeps his distance.
E fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
E slips a jab and a cross from Adams.
Adams fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
E moves in looking to clinch but Adams pushes him off.
Adams swats away the attempt to clinch by E.
E pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A head kick misses from E.
E shoots for a double leg takedown but Adams sprawls well. He's pushed E's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank E. That's going to take a lot out of him.
E is breathing heavily.
E shoots in but Adams avoids the takedown attempt easily.
E shoots in and drives through. Adams sprawls well.
Adams punishes E's body with a nice straight punch.
Adams looks to land a combination but E avoids it well.

Adams shoots in looking for a takedown. E tries to sprawl out of it but Adams keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. E manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
E tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Adams swivels and escapes.
Adams throws a sloppy head kick

and E counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by E.
E missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
E pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Adams is keeping the position for now.
Adams is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

E looking for submissions off his back.

E is desperately trying to improve his position but Adams has a good base and remains in mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
E is working hard here to advance position.
Adams looking to finish E with some ground and pound. This is bad for E!
Adams unloads with some vicious shots from mount and E wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Adams celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
