The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lombard connects with a body shot that sends Yag's belly button to the back.
Yag takes one on the button.
Lombard looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Yag throws a lazy uppercut
and Lombard counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Yag swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lombard keeps Yag at a distance using the push kick.
Yag misses with a body kick.
Lombard lands a right hook to the body.
Lombard stuns Yag with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Yag gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Yag walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Yag moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
The fight stays on the outside here - Yag looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Yag closes the distance and pushes Lombard back into the cage.
Lombard has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Yag avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Lombard ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lombard no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Yag is looking to work some ground and pound but Lombard has wrist control.

Lombard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Yag can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

BA Yag seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yag throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Lombard moves into the clinch.
Yag wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lombard has him pressed against the cage.

Yag drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Lombard is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Yag is trying to drag Lombard to the mat but Lombard just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
