Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chancho Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Method Man- I came to bring the pain . Chancho Smith could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Alex Silva's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chancho Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Silva!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith gets a double leg takedown into Silva's guard.
Silva avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Smith wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position.
Silva wants to get back to his feet but Smith is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Smith drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Smith off! Smith jumps back into Silva's guard.
Silva wants to stand up but Smith is controlling him.
Smith pushes down on Silva's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Silva manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Silva tries to clinch up but Smith circles away and keeps his distance.
Smith shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silva is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Smith is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Silva preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Smith slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Smith tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Silva throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
Left hook, right uppercut from Smith.
Smith works over Silva's head and body with a nice combination.
Silva is rocked!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Smith.
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Smith finish him?
Chancho Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith closes the distance and clinches.
Silva breaks the clinch.
Silva misses with the combination.
Silva seems to have recovered his senses.
Silva clinches with his opponent.
Silva connects with a knee to the head.
It looks like Chancho Smith has been cut.
Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Smith shoots in and drives through. Silva sprawls well.
Smith closes the distance and clinches up with Silva, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes Silva against the cage but Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chancho Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Smith throws a right hand that misses
and Silva counters with a big head kick but Smith shrugs it off.
Silva has taken the fight to the clinch.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Silva changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Smith fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Silva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Silva is looking to clinch.
Silva fails with an attempt to clinch.

Silva darts in and clinches Smith up against the cage.
Silva will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Smith up against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Smith tries for a takedown but Silva manages to get underhooks.
Silva tries to score a body lock takedown but Smith shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Smith can't get the takedown.
Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Smith checks a low kick from Silva.
Smith keeps the fight on the outside.
Silva throws a head kick that misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Smith.
Silva takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Smith tries to clinch but Silva moves out of range.

Silva wants to pass the guard but Smith is keeping the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Silva pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Smith is keeping the position for now.
Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Silva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Silva working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Chancho Smith will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Chancho Smith's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!
Smith misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Chancho Smith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Smith avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Smith tries to clinch there but Silva circles away.
Smith fails with an attempt to clinch.
Smith lands with a hook. Silva tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Smith displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Silva wants to clinch up but Smith keeps it at a distance.
Smith avoids the head kick by Silva.
Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smith moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Silva closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Silva content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Silva prevents the takedown attempt.
Silva is working for takedown but Smith is calmly controlling the position for now.
Silva breaks from the clinch.

The fighters circling - Silva throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Smith throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Smith throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Silva crashing down! Silva tries to stagger back to his feet but Smith just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Silva asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chancho Smith!
Chancho Smith decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
