The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Good shot there by Woods.
Woods lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Woods connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sokoudjou. Sokoudjou circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sokoudjou shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Woods napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sokoudjou is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Woods has escaped the position, nice work there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Woods is looking to regain half guard here but Sokoudjou keeps moving and retains side control.
Sokoudjou has an Americana. Woods didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Sokoudjou is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Sokoudjou hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Zentrope Fighting Universe logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
