The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sumitani chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Soto can pounce on him.

Soto manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Sumitani throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Soto stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Soto is fighting off a takedown attempt but Sumitani is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Soto to the mat. Soto regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
