Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Curt Leocadio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mookie Hamfist!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamfist shoots in looking for a takedown. Leocadio tries to sprawl out of it but Hamfist keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Leocadio manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hamfist ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Leocadio lunges at Hamfist with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hamfist's hand.
Leocadio pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hamfist changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Leocadio tries to avoid it but Hamfist manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Leocadio to the ground. Leocadio escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Leocadio avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Leocadio.
Leocadio looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hamfist is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hamfist blocks a jab.

Hamfist gets a takedown into half guard.
Hamfist throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hamfist slips a nice elbow through Leocadio's hands, connecting with Leocadio's forehead.
Hamfist not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Hamfist trying to control the action but Leocadio is working from the bottom.

Hamfist wants to pass the guard but Leocadio is defending well.

Hamfist is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Leocadio tries to kick Hamfist off but Hamfist keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Hamfist looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Leocadio with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hamfist passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Leocadio!
Hamfist is landing with some decent strikes but Leocadio is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hamfist postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Leocadio out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Hamfist goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mookie Hamfist!
A less than humble Mookie Hamfist misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
