Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Montague (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Doon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Doon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shaun Montague!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Doon!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Montague tries to avoid it but Doon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Montague to the ground. Montague escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Montague shoots in and bounces Doon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Montague throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Doon works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Doon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Montague wants to get up but he can't break Doon's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Montague is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Doon is just riding it out for now. Montague eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are battling for position here. Doon manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Doon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Montague can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
