Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jake Sawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Russo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jake Sawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan Russo!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

so Sawa counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Sawa dives in and grabs Russo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Russo pushes down on Sawa's head and hops out.

Sawa closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
