PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kim Jong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and RIP Evan Tanner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanner comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tornado of Souls - Megadeth kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jong throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Tanner shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Jong wants to sweep here but Tanner controlling him for the moment.
Jong keeping moving, preventing Tanner from controlling successfully.

Tanner avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Jong has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tanner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tanner postures up in Jong's guard and throws a big left but Jong blocks it.

Jong escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tanner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jong has momentary wrist control but Tanner slips an elbow through the middle.

Tanner is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Jong wants to sweep but no luck.
Tanner working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Tanner distracts Jong with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Tanner tries to free his leg and advance position but Jong is retaining full guard.
Tanner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Tanner with a flurry of punches that miss.
Jong keeping moving, preventing Tanner from controlling successfully.
Tanner wants to pass the guard but Jong is keeping the position.
Tanner stands up over Jong, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Tanner lands a couple of elbows.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tanner postures up and lands a big shot to Jong's brow.
Tanner in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Tanner chips away with some ground and pound.

Jong has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Tanner should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Jong has tightened it up now! Tanner should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Kim Jong thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
