Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Travis Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ban-Ki Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kim has chosen Guns N' Roses: Welcome To The Jungle as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Travis Riley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ban-Ki Kim!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim thows a body shot but no joy.
Ban-Ki Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Riley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kim has closed the distance and engaged Riley in a clinch.
Riley swings wildly with an uppercut but Kim uses good head movement to avoid it.

Riley breaks from the clinch.
Riley throws a low kick, looking for Kim's leg but Kim calmly moves out of range.
Riley misses with a wild body shot.
Riley shoots in but no luck this time.

Riley gets a takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Riley throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Kim keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Kim wants to improve his position but Riley is controlling well.

Riley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kim is just riding it out for now. Riley eventually gives up the hold.
Riley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kim is refusing to be controlled, as Riley sits in half guard.

Kim has one foot on Riley's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Ban-Ki Kim is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kim tries to land a front kick but Riley steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Kim takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kim tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Riley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Riley scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Riley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kim sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Riley counters with a head kick. That will keep Kim thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Riley wants to land a leg kick but Kim is out of range.

Riley shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Kim has closed the distance and engaged Riley in a clinch.
Kim blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Kim throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Riley blocks it with crossed arms.

Nice body punch from Riley - that landed with a thud.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

That was a close second round but I would say that Travis Riley will probably get the nod.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Riley throws a lazy right hand but Kim sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Riley throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kim was covering up waiting for the punch and Riley finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Riley throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kim stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Kim stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kim wants it to stay on the feet.
