PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sinao Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gumby Pokey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Silva might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Die Motherfucker . Sinao Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gumby Pokey!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pokey throws a hook but Silva blocks it.
Horrible takedown by Pokey or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.
A clash of legs there as Pokey blocks the low kick.

Pokey gets caught flat footed, as Silva shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Silva missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Silva slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Pokey keeping full guard, as Silva tries to pass.
Silva has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Pokey escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pokey keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully.
Silva looking to sit in guard and control but Pokey gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Silva controls Pokey momentarily but Pokey frees himself.

Pokey drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Pokey off! Pokey jumps back into Silva's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Silva tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Silva can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pokey controls the pace.

Pokey got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pokey has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted.

Pokey drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pokey jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Pokey wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Silva.
Silva looking to ground and pound but Pokey is blocking nicely.
Pokey is just holding on here. Silva manages to take his back.
Silva is controlling the position but Pokey somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Pokey is trying is best to control the position here.

Pokey is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Silva is tapping! Great win for Pokey!
