Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nick Ghirardi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Duke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ghirardi comes to the cage accompanied by go to sleep. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duke tries to clinch but Ghirardi is having none of it.
Jake Duke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Duke fails to land with a series of punches.
Ghirardi tries to close the distance and clinch but Duke swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ghirardi circles away from the clinch attempt

and Ghirardi counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Duke breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Ghirardi.
Ghirardi shoots in for a double leg but Duke sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A jab-cross combination lands for Duke and sends Ghirardi crashing to the mat! Duke follows him down to the mat - Ghirardi regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Ghirardi is rocked!
Duke lands a big elbow - Ghirardi is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Duke!
