Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yama Lakes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johan Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machado has chosen Promentory as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lakes turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Machado shoots for a takedown but Lakes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Machado tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lakes swivels and escapes.
Machado fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Yama Lakes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johan Machado.

Lakes pushes Machado up against the cage in a clinch.

Lakes has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Machado clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Machado tries to escape the position.

Lakes is looking for the choke from the back position but Machado is controlling his hands well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lakes working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Machado is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Lakes has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Machado taps out!
