Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Georgios Parlekakis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gary Bowman!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parlekakis moves to clinch but Bowman breaks away

and Bowman counters by clinching up.
Parlekakis tries to break the clinch but Bowman is controlling the position.

Bowman has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Parlekakis is trying to keep an underhook but Bowman manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Parlekakis wants to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bowman decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Parlekakis misses with a combination

so Bowman counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Parlekakis is breathing heavily.
Bowman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bowman sitting in guard here, content to control.
Bowman prevents Parlekakis from getting back to his feet.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Bowman controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Gary Bowman was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Bowman closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Parlekakis quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Parlekakis looks like he's trying to stand up.

Bowman seems to be looking for submissions.

Bowman decides to stand up.
Parlekakis misses with the combination.

Bowman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Parlekakis did well to prevent Bowman getting side control.
Parlekakis wants to get back to his feet.
Bowman is taking a breather. Parlekakis says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Parlekakis looks like he's trying to stand up.
Parlekakis keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Bowman is controlling the pace.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Parlekakis is trying to stand up here but Bowman is controlling him well.
Bowman throwing shots but Parlekakis is blocking nicely.
Parlekakis wants to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bowman tries to pass the half guard into mount. Parlekakis knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gary Bowman dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Bowman manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Parlekakis on his heels. He'll look to pass Parlekakis's guard now, I'm sure.
Bowman prevents Parlekakis from getting back to his feet.
Bowman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Parlekakis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bowman gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bowman circles away from the clinch attempt.
Parlekakis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Bowman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Parlekakis wants to stand up but Bowman is controlling him.
Bowman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Gary Bowman has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bowman with a flurry of punches that miss.
Parlekakis wants to get back to his feet but Bowman passes into half guard.

Bowman gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Bowman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Parlekakis is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Bowman dives into side control.

Bowman throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Bowman working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Bowman controls the position from side control.
Parlekakis is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bowman tries to advance to mount but Parlekakis denies him.
Parlekakis is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bowman has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Bowman decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Bowman looking to score a takedown here. Parlekakis is defending well but Bowman drives through and ends up in Parlekakis's guard.
Parlekakis is looking to stand up but Bowman isn't so interested in that idea.
Bowman slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Bowman works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Parlekakis looks like he's trying to stand up.
Bowman not landing any meaningful shots this time.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Parlekakis wants to get back to his feet.
Parlekakis wants to stand back up but Bowman manages to pass into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gary Bowman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Bowman closes the distance and pushes Parlekakis back into the cage.
Bowman wants to take the fight to the mat but Parlekakis manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Bowman has hold of one of Parlekakis's legs. Parlekakis is fighting the takedown attempt but Bowman gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Parlekakis keeping moving, preventing Bowman from controlling successfully.
Bowman won't allow Parlekakis to get back to his feet.
Bowman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Gary Bowman wasn't active enough on the ground.
Parlekakis tries a head kick but it misses.
Bowman thuds his right hand into Parlekakis's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Bowman rushes Parlekakis and presses him up against the cage.
Bowman is looking to break free of the clinch but Parlekakis has double underhooks.

Bowman pulls guard successfully.

Bowman has his foot on Parlekakis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Parlekakis works his way back into a safe position though.

Bowman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Parlekakis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Parlekakis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Parlekakis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Parlekakis has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bowman is proving hard to escape from.
Bowman pulls Parlekakis in close to prevent any damage.
Parlekakis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Bowman is looking for a triangle but Parlekakis pushes his legs off easily.
Parlekakis looking to pass the guard.

Parlekakis stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Parlekakis tries to clinch up

and Bowman counters with a single leg into guard. Parlekakis didn't expect that.
Parlekakis is looking to stand up but Bowman isn't so interested in that idea.
Bowman wants to pass the guard but Parlekakis is keeping the position.
Bowman is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Bowman gets to his feet - Parlekakis follows without any prompting.
Parlekakis moves to clinch but Bowman breaks away

and Bowman counters with a shoot takedown. Parlekakis fights it but they end up in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Parlekakis wants to stand and escape but Bowman is having none of it.
Bowman passes Parlekakis's left leg - he's now in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Parlekakis kicks Bowman off and gets back to his feet.
Georgios Parlekakis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Gary Bowman is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Parlekakis stalks Bowman and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bowman's face. Bowman staggers backwards, shaken.

And that's the end of the fight!
Gary Bowman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bowman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
