The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caerdinn swats away the attempt to clinch by Nowell.
A nice leg kick lands there from Caerdinn.
Nowell with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Caerdinn to score with a decent uppercut.
Nowell on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Nowell doesn't manage to clinch there - Caerdinn circles away.
Caerdinn throws a hook to the side of Nowell's head but Nowell sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Caerdinn throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Caerdinn looks to score with a jab to the body but Nowell is just out of range.
Nowell wants to clinch up but Caerdinn keeps it at a distance.
Nowell wants to clinch but Caerdinn slips to the side

and Caerdinn counters with a head kick that drops Nowell - he's looking to finish, following his stunned foe to the ground!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Caerdinn is keen to just control but Nowell is a slippery customer.
Caerdinn lands strikes from half guard.
Caerdinn stops Nowell from getting back to his feet.
Nowell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Caerdinn thows a huge punch but Nowell dodges it nicely.
Nowell wants to get back to his feet.

Nowell manages to escape and get back to his feet!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Crunch! Caerdinn slams his shin into Nowell's torso.
Caerdinn jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A big left from Caerdinn misses.
Nowell throws a wild hook but Caerdinn just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Nowell gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Caerdinn raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
