The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Broadus darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Broadus stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Broadus wants it to stay on the feet.
A nice leg kick lands there from Broadus.
Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Broadus thows a left - swing and a miss!
Broadus is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Nice straight punches there by Broadus. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Broadus.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Broadus paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Broadus lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Calvin Broadus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Broadus slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Broadus pinned against the cage. Broadus gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Broadus works Jones's body with a nice hook.
Broadus connects with a body shot that sends Jones's belly button to the back.
Oooooh!!! Broadus has knocked Jones down with a huge combo! Broadus steps away and waves a wobbly Jones back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Broadus walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jones checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Broadus changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Broadus throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
