Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Slum Goodlum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Prevost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Ryan Prevost enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Slum Goodlum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Prevost!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prevost stuffs the takedown attempt from Goodlum. Goodlum gets slowly back to his feet.
Goodlum scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Goodlum shoots for a double leg takedown but Prevost sprawls well. He's pushed Goodlum's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Goodlum misses with a wild combination.

Goodlum gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Prevost gets underhooks to prevent Goodlum's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Slum Goodlum. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Prevost breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Goodlum pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Goodlum fails with an attempt to clinch.
Goodlum throws a head kick but Prevost moves out of range.

Goodlum closes the distance and clinches.

and Goodlum counters with a takedown into side control.

Prevost tries to buck Goodlum off but Goodlum is having none of it.

Goodlum has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Goodlum gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Prevost counters with a shoot takedown. Goodlum fights it but they end up in guard.
Prevost is looking to work some ground and pound but Goodlum has wrist control.
Goodlum thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Prevost works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Goodlum wants to get back to full guard.
Prevost is looking to pass Goodlum's guard but actually Goodlum recovers to full guard.
Prevost working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Goodlum trying to keep a closed guard but Prevost is proving a slippery customer.
Goodlum is breathing heavily.

Goodlum looking for a sweep. Not yet Goodlum, not yet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Prevost accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Goodlum is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Prevost looking to pass the guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Prevost closes the distance and clinches up with Goodlum, looking for a takedown. Prevost pushes Goodlum against the cage but Goodlum circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Goodlum misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Prevost moves into the clinch.
Goodlum has had enough of the clinch but Prevost keeps him there for the moment.
Goodlum prevents a takedown attempt there.
Goodlum is looking to break free of the clinch but Prevost has double underhooks.

Prevost drops down looking for an ankle pick but Goodlum pulls his leg out and moves away.
Goodlum shoots and misses

and Prevost counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Prevost.

Goodlum pulls Prevost in close to prevent any damage.
Goodlum wants to sweep here but Prevost controlling him for the moment.

Prevost postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Prevost has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Goodlum trying to keep a closed guard but Prevost is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Goodlum is pulling down on Prevost's head to control his posture.
Goodlum is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Goodlum has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Prevost off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Goodlum misses with a few strikes there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Prevost closes this distance looking for a takedown but Goodlum circles away.
Prevost shoots for a takedown but Goodlum saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ryan Prevost will probably get the nod.
That's time! Goodlum's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Goodlum misses with a takedown

and Prevost counters with a nice double leg into side control. Goodlum won't be happy with that.
An elbow from Prevost crashes against the mat.
Goodlum is trying to control Prevost's posture but Prevost avoids it.
Goodlum trying his best to control but Prevost has mounted him.
Goodlum tries to hold on but Prevost postures up.
Prevost throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Goodlum is looking to get to half guard.
Goodlum is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Ryan Prevost has got the better of the ground game so far.

Goodlum is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Poor strikes thrown by Prevost there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Prevost connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Goodlum is looking to get to half guard.
Prevost lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Goodlum hang on?
Goodlum tries to reverse the position but Prevost maintains control.
A nice elbow there by Prevost.

Prevost working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Goodlum turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Prevost off and cradles Goodlum's limp body as Prevost celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Ryan Prevost!
