And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Mickiewicz!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mickiewicz takes the fight into the clinch.
Mickiewicz stalling in the clinch but Straszskyn improves position.
Mickiewicz throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Straszskyn blocks it with crossed arms.

Straszskyn lands a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mickiewicz looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mickiewicz throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Straszskyn throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Straszskyn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Straszskyn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mickiewicz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Mickiewicz can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Straszskyn controls the pace.
Mickiewicz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Straszskyn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Straszskyn with a flurry of punches that miss.
Mickiewicz controls Straszskyn momentarily but Straszskyn frees himself.
Mickiewicz is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Alexander Mickiewicz was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Straszskyn feints and as Mickiewicz raises his hands in defense, Straszskyn changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Straszskyn drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Straszskyn seems to have locked his on tight now - Mickiewicz screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Straszskyn, as he picks up the win!
