The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herrmann closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lilo circles away.
Herrmann looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lilo is fending him off so far but Herrmann persists. Nope, Lilo circles away and we're back to standing.
Herrmann tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Lilo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Lilo is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Herrmann has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lilo is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Lilo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Lilo passes to side control.
Herrmann wants to get back to his feet but Lilo is dominant here and he's now got Herrmann's back!

Lilo keeps control of the position as Herrmann tries to break free.

Herrmann is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Lilo gets his way!

Lilo has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Herrmann is defending well but eventually Lilo manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Herrmann has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
