The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kicker fails with a takedown attempt.
Kicker looks for a takedown but hughs sprawls well.
hughs stuffs the takedown attempt from Kicker. Kicker gets slowly back to his feet.
renzo hughs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Belnick Kicker.

hughs looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kicker!
hughs fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

hughs is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kicker is surviving well by controlling hughs's body position as best he can.
Kicker is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Kicker tries to get to full guard but hughs has control of the leg.
hughs is keen to just control but Kicker is a slippery customer.

hughs is tying to control. Kicker wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

hughs is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

hughs won't allow Kicker to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kicker is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but hughs is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Kicker is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. hughs looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kicker gets his head over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. hughs is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kicker lets go of the hold and hughs can pop his arm back in it's socket.
