Hax leaves Tapperoni with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Tapperoni gets caught flat footed, as Hax shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Hax thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Hax drops back looking for a leg! Tapperoni is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tapperoni manages to kick Hax off! Hax jumps back into Tapperoni's guard.

Hax drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hax jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Hax thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Hax won't allow Tapperoni to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hax wants to pass the guard but Tapperoni is keeping the position.

Hax has gone for a leg lock! Tapperoni slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hax's guard.

Tapperoni got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hax has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tapperoni has managed to get both his arms back between Hax's legs - danger averted.

Hax has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Tapperoni doesn't defend quickly enough and Hax has managed to lock this one up! Can Tapperoni escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Hax on a fantastic submission victory.
