Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Ben (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davidson has chosen Bullet For My Valentine - Your Betrayal as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ben throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Davidson gets caught flat footed, as Ben shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Ben working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Davidson's head.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ben accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ben throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Davidson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ben showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Big Ben has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Davidson throws a head kick but Ben moves out of range.
Ryan Davidson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Davidson doesn't manage to clinch there - Ben circles away.

and Davidson counters with a big head kick but Ben shrugs it off.

Davidson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ben swats him away and circles back towards the center.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ben fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Davidson sprawls well initially but Ben persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Ben is looking to stall here but Davidson recovers full guard.
Ben seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Ben feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Big Ben wasn't doing enough on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

and Davidson counters with a big head kick but Ben shrugs it off.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Ben counters with a series of strikes. Davidson will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Ben counters with a nice double leg into side control. Davidson won't be happy with that.
Davidson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Ben throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Ben scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Davidson to see if he's OK.
Ben postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Big Ben overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Ben seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Davidson for as long as he can get away with.
Ben has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We're going to have a standup here because Big Ben wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

and Davidson counters with a head kick. That will keep Ben thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
